First settled by , an overlander from New South Wales in about 1843 (13,240 acres).

By 1876 Yackandanda had been split into No 1, No 1 West and No 2:
No 1 was licensed to John Robinson and George Nicolson, ? acres, license fee half year £11/5
No 1West was licensed to James Orr and John Shugg, ? acres, license fee half year £11/5

No 2 was licensed to McCombie Alexander, ? acres, license fee half year £15
