First taken up by Charles Huon, an overlander from New South Wales in 1836 as an out station to Wodonga. Frederic Street had the lease in 1844. In 1848 the lease was in the name of John Thomson. By 1853 Frederic Street's name was back on the lease.
In 1876 the license was held by Frederick Street and the half yearly license fee was £31 05 00
