I got a job as a farm boy at Mrs Kelly's farm in early 1876.

Later I was arrested for stealing a chestnut mare and foal from John Quinn of Glenmore, Mrs Kelly's brother. Earlier Ned Kelly had been charged with the same offence. I was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. I was dragged into this by the Kellys and Quinns. These Irish families always play hard and they are always fighting.

I told the authorities on about 7/2/1879 that I thought the KellyGang would be making for the head of the Murray, Paddy's River, in New South Wales; a track crosses head of Paddy's River to Yarrangobilly Ranges into the Maneroo country, between Paddy's River and Yarrangobilly (RC App13)

Please enjoy the story of the KellyGang, but also remember that at least 10 people died and many more had their lives changed in ways that may still be painful to some people.
