Mr Norton was a lawyer

I am a member of the Benalla Amateur Coursing Club, The Wangaratta Turf Club and the Wangaratta Coursing Club

I prosecuted Mrs Kelly for the Crown when she was charged with selling sly grog in 1870

I also appeared for Ned Kelly in 1871 when he was charged with horse stealing

In the mid to late 1870s I did a lot of insolvency work
