Jerilderie Robbery 10/2/1879

April 1879 I was employed by Mr. Hare as a scout and guide to assist the police in the pursuit of the Kellys , at the rate of one pound per day. (RC16863)

I then went out for 13 days looking for the KellyGang but Sadleir would not pay me.(RC16863)

Hare replaced by Nicolson 6/7/1879
AssCom Nicolson asked me to visit him in Wangaratta. At first I refused to work for him because I had not been paid by Sadleir and Hare. But after a while I agreed and finished up working for him up until the end of his time in June 1880. (RC16863) (JJK)
Kelly Reward Board
I applied for part of the reward. They did not give me a penny.
Royal Commission
I did not give evidence at the Royal Commission. My affidavit was read to the Royal Commission (RC16863)
Later Years

I continued to farm at Carboor untill 1914 age 71

I died in Oxley in 1919 and am buried in the Milawa Cemetery
