Arrival in Victoria 6/3/1879

I came down from Queensland with Insp O'Connor and 6 trackers. We come down to Sydney by ship and then travelled from Sydney to Albury by train. At 7 pm on 6/3/1879. The names of the trackers, Corporal Sambo, and Troopers Hero, Johnny, Jimmy, Barney, and Jack. We arrived at Benalla at 2pm on 10/3/1879. (Argus10/3/79)

I went off to the Lancefield robbery (RC5242)
It was said that I misbehaved myself at the Lancefield bank robbery trip. Insp O'Connor recommended my dismissal, and I was dismissed in Queensland. Eventually on the recommendation of Captain Standish I was taken on by the Victoria police with my rank taken from me, and I went into the police as a constable. (RC11464)
