Arrival in Victoria 6/3/1879
I and 5 other Queensland
trackers with Senior Constable
King and Insp O
'Connor had come down to Sydney by ship. We then travelled from Sydney to
Albury by train. At 7 pm on 6/3/
1879. The names of my fellow trackers were Corporal
Sambo and Troopers
Johnny,
Jimmy,
Barney, and
Jack. We arrived at Benalla at 2pm on 10/3/1879. (

We caught the train at Essendon

I arrived at Glenrowan by train at about 2.30 am on the morning of the siege with Sup Hare

I was just outside the fence, near SConst Kelly when the first shot was fired. (RC8079) See also (RC7774.7368)
Following the meetings of the Reward Board in December 1880 I recieved a reward of about £50
I was not called to give evidence before the Royal Commission
