November 1878 Donald Cameron MLA (1877-1880) told
Berry, the Premier, that there should be an enquiry into the police. Berry
replied to that he would call one if there was evidence of a want of proper
organisation amongst the police. That statement probably led to the KellyGang
to write the Cameron Letter
. He gave the letter to Berry and he did nothing about it.
The Cameron letter was written at Faithfuls Creeek. what did I do with it?
The Cameron Letter
is one of the great letters with the Jerilderie
Letter where the KellyGang set out their
call for justice
I was a batchelor home ..
Please enjoy the story
of the KellyGang, but also remember that at least
10 people died and many more had their lives changed in ways that may still
be painful to some people.
