In 1877 I investigated Samuel
Kennedy and
Studders and the Baumgartens. Kennedy and
William Baumgarten were convicted for stealing those horses from Greta. I also found out that the
Ned and
Dan Kelly-were connected with the larceny of those horses but we could not prove it. (
RC8813)
Fitzpatrick Incident 15/04/1878
I was mentioned by the KellyGang in the
Cameron letter as
being a person who Const Fitzpatrick
suggested might come to arrest Dan Kelly
after the shooting.

It is likely that I had been up looking around Mrs Byrnes home for the KellyGang (RC 1279)
Det Ward got Det Eason and myself to talk to Aaron Sherritt at the time when he was thinking about joining the KellyGang on their trip to Jerilderie (RC13847)
