Summary of the evidence on day 34 of the hearings
29/6/1881 Sup Sadleir continued his evidence - some brief highlights
"I want to make an application. I see by the papers that Dean Gibney was examined yesterday, and as he is, I understand, travelling through Australia, I should like to have an opportunity of cross-examining him, as his evidence relates entirely as to what was done at Glenrowan."
29/6/1881 SConst Flood commenced his evidence -some brief highlights
Const Flood was asked about the closing down of the Glenmore police station and what he thought of the people at Greta.
The Royal Commission also asked, 'did you prosecute the members of the Kelly family continually while you were in that district.' Flood went through the details of his involvement with the Kellys, Lloyds, and Quinns and Bricky Williamson.
After talking about Sgt Kennedy and others, they asked Flood, 'How did the Kelly family support themselves when you went to Greta'
Flood had a run in with Ned Kelly in O'Brien's hotel. Read what happened in the local Greta pub.
After a run in with a squatter Flood was sent to Yandoit. He spent five years there and scarcely had anything to do in that time. What was his offence. It involved the squatter's horses.
Eventually, at the time of the Stringy Bark Creek murders, Flood was allowed back to the Kelly Country and to join in the hunt. Did he find the log mentioned by Bricky Williamson while in Pentridge.
