In the new year many sympathizers where arrested and remanded from week to week in the Beechworth Gaol. The Argus published verbatum accounts of the remand hearings. This went on with weekly hearings for nearly 2 months.
The Argus got information about the KellyGang's visit to Jerilderie as soon as they left town (Argus11/2/79). Again the reports continued for a time.
