THE KELLYS' GANG
[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH]
(FROM A CORRESPONDENT)

Corowa, 17th February

The Kelly as were expected in Howlong last night, but did not appear. A large number of police were concentrated there. The excitement here is great. Special constables have been sworn in. An application was made to the Bank of New South Wales authorities to supply arms to the volunteers, but the application was met with a prompt refusal. Much adverse comment is expressed at the action taken by the bank.
