BENALLA, THURSDAY

Jim Quinn, mate of the notorious Power, was brought up on habeas to day before Messrs, Sharp and Robertson, JP's, for assaulting William Skelton seven years ago with a bullock yoke, and committed for trial. Skelton has been suffering from the effects of the blow ever since, and his life is now despaired of. Quinn is undergoing a sentence of four years for another assault.
